Face up to new electrical safety law or face fines:
The new building regulation Part P requires electrical work in the home to be carried out by a government-approved electrician such as one registered with NICEIC.
Insurance-backed warranties for domestic installer scheme:
All electrical installation domestic work (Part P) notified by NICEIC domestic installers will be covered by an insurance backed warranty, irrespective of the value of that work.
The warranty applies to:
● Completed electrical installations and associated work for which a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate has been issued.
● The safety and standard of workmanship of the electrical installation that is the subject of complaint by the person ordering the electrical installation work or the current owner of the installation.
● Work that was completed within six years from the date recorded on the installation certificate
Why use NICEIC contractors?
Once contractors become NICEIC Approved Electrical Contractors, they are re-assessed every year by one of the Council’s Area Engineers to confirm that their business and the technical standard of their electrical work continue to comply with the Council’s rules.
